What are backlinks?
Backlinks are links that point to your website. Each link counts as a vote, the more votes, the higher your site will rank.

Do I need to link to other sites?
No you don’t. Links where a website links to you, and you link back to them are known as “reciprocal links” and they are of no value whatsoever.
Links are supposed to be votes for your sites, so they should necessarily be one way links – ie, the site should link to you without a return link.
Links that occur as a result of a reciprocal arrangement just cancel each other out and have no benefit for you at all. So we don’t do it.
How long will it take to get my site to page 1?
This is the $million question, and is almost impossible to answer, since it depends on so many variable factors.
If the niche that you belong to isn’t heavily populated with major stores and brands, then it might be possible to get your website to page 1 within a month.
It is more likely however that you will have some level of competition, and so we recommend that you should expect to be looking at around 6 months to see results for generic, highly prized keywords and phrases.
Really how long it takes will be determined by the amount of competition you have, and how much optimisation they’ve put into their own website.

How do I know I’m getting value for money?
